Building A Video Projection System

Recently I purchased a guide from an interesting site that claims you can build a projection system to use as a TV and more importantly as a big screen gaming system. I kept seeing ads online for product guides for creating huge big screen game systems so I eventually caved in and bought one. This has soooo much potential and it's going to make the projection companies extremely mad

How To Build Video Projection Guide Cover All I can say is WOW these big screens are wicked for gaming! .

I must have been seeing these ads for about a year already and just assumed it was a scam... I wish I would have bought it when I first saw it because I could have been playing on a huge movie screen for months now.

These projection systems are not hard to make and they don't cost all that much money, a tenth of what you would pay if you purchased a video projector. You don't need that many tools, just simple household stuff that just about everyone has laying around in junk drawers.

You can actually design it yourself to your own specs once you get a basic understanding of how the setup works so you are really only limited by your own creativity and imagination. The video projector plans I found were from a company that has been online for some time. I am sure if you dig around you could find sites with similar info but sometimes it's just better to fork over some cash and get a kit to save the hassle and hours of searching the net.

There's actually several ways that you can make a big screen projector and I guess it comes down to the resources you have and your own personal preferences. You can make a custom frame and use a fresnel lens setup and some people use old overhead projectors that have been modified. It's pretty cool what you can do with a bunch of old useless junk.

Don't let that above statement about junk turn you away from these projects because the end result you can achieve is comparable to projectors costing thousands of dollars. The image quality is fantastic and it's bright crisp and clear.

Playing video games on a super size TV is absolutely amazing as you can imagine. Multiplayer games especially first person shooters, sports and driving games are so much more fun. Try a big screen using xbox with four people and it's like having four large TV's showing on your wall it's a really cool experience. Doom 3 is wicked and so is madden.

My Custom Projection Game System

I'll be posting pictures and detailed information on my custom system as soon as I get a chance on this page. I'll also be posting plans on how to build a white backer board that will bring the quality of the image up to match projectors costing thousands of dollars. It's easy to do so stay tuned.
